A very dear friend emailed a photo that she took this week of her house back in Ohio . I resisted the temptation to send her this photo of my house, also taken this week. But I will extend an invitation to sample “winter” in St. John. Last night was breezy and cool – perhaps down near 70 degrees. I was at the beach this weekend and the water temperature this time of year did feel a bit chilly – I’m sure it’s below 80 degrees. I noticed that the Virgin Islands Daily News today has a photo on the weather page of a fox squirrel surrounded by white snow up in Moreland Hills, Ohio – a scene I remember all too well.

So as you are reading this and if your view outdoors looks anything like the photo on the left I say c’mon down and enjoy winter on St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands. There is no better place to escape from the frozen north. Remember, we have a zip code and no passport is required. Who knows, you might like it so much you’ll decide to stay! And if that’s the case, call me – I can help! marty@islandiarealestate.com
