These beautiful creatures continue to be one of our many star attractions on St. John. I blogged this Atlantic Manta Ray on March 9th and I couldn’t resist sharing these photos taken today by friend and neighbor Cristina Kessler during her swim at Francis Bay. Cristina asked that I pass along the message, “Please don’t touch the Manta Rays!” Touching the Mantas can hurt them, it will remove the mucus coating that protects these big and beautiful creatures against infection. So good to know! And speaking of star attractions, Cristina is one herself, author, artist, photographer and world traveler! It is no surprise that this beautiful island is populated with creative and talented people.
