Yesterday local photographer, Steve Simonsen, captured beautiful images of flamingos visiting St. John. They were spotted in the pond located in Estate Mandahl, in-between Salt Pond Bay and Lameshur Bay.
What a beautiful site! There are a group of flamingos that live on or near Necker Islands. I am guessing they are taking a break from the BVI and visiting the USVI. In 2016, there was a flamingo or two that visited Denis Bay and Trunk Bay. Read more here.
It was great to see the photos and videos that Steve shared on his personal Facebook page. It certainly put most of us on St. John in a good mood as we experience rainy and cloudy weather today.
I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I did. Please feel free to reach out to me to learn more about St. John, living here and buying or selling real estate.
