St John has been experiencing our annual spring showers for the past few weeks with rain mostly at night. These spring rains make our island green and lush and encourage blossoming of the flamboyant trees as well as making the mangoes full and juicy Pokies. The flamboyant, also know as royal poincianna, is a young one I have finaly managed to grow at my Rendezvous home. It is two years old and has blossomed for the first time this year. Success at last!
