Have you ever noticed that wild chickens and Iguanas are much more prevelant on St. John than they were 10 years ago?? I have a personal theory that, as both chickens and iguanas come from eggs,  the root of the problem is the decline in the mongoose population. Mongoose do love to eat eggs . Now that the mongoose habitat has been minimized by clearing and construction I fear we will need a new way to control the messy and pesky iguanas and chickens. Perhaps advertising free range chicken & iguana stew as a local delicacy???
