A group of national and local representatives recently inspected various development sites in the Coral Bay, St. John area to help develop a storm water management plan.   The group consisted of representatives from the Center for Watershed Protection, a specialist for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and two Department of Planning and Natural Resources representatives.  This is a pilot program where the local and federal governments are working together to develop a clear watershed plan.  We are pleased that two developers working with Islandia Real Estate received accolades from the group for their conscientious mitigation practices and willingness to go the extra mile to protect our pristine waters.  Let us all keep in mind that there are some good developers who treat our island with respect and we thank them.
