I don’t know if you have heard but, they aren’t making any more land- if you don’t have a piece yet, you should seriously consider acquiring some!  2/3 of St. John is protected by the National Park system, which only leaves us with 1/3 of buildable land- which might I add, I am extremely grateful for; we are a group of extremely luck people to live within a National Park. Every time I drive the North Shore, the South Shore, take a boat around St. John and see all the green I am grateful.

The St. John MLS currently has 256 lots of land for sale. Yes, a bit saturated, but doesn’t that mean now is the time to buy- ‘get the best bang for your buck.’

A few highlights about buying a land parcel vs. a residence:

  • Purchase price on average is a fraction of the cost
  • Annual taxes are less
  • Once you buy, you don’t have to throw money into it immediately
  • Gives you flexibility with finances and plans for the parcel

Take the leap, buy land on St. John, it is something you will always have. Buying a parcel of land allows you to move at your own pace mentally and financially. You do what you can, when you can. Don’t miss any more of these sunsets!!
