Two new restaurants opened on St. John this week adding even more options to our already varied and delightful eating establishments.
Fatty Crab just opened in the former building that housed “Hinds” reataurant between the police station and the new traffic circle. Reservations recommended at 340 775-9951. A sample of menu items include:
Fatty Sliders- mini pork & beef bergers, green chili aioli
Salt & Pepper Squid – fresh sriracha, kecap manis
Nasi Lemak – curry chicken, pineapple, poached egg, coconut rice
Short Rib Rendang – coconut rice, kaffir lime
Poached & Seared Kingfish – squash, green papaya salad
Also opening this week is Sam and Jack’s in the former location of Baked in the Sun at the Marketplace. If the food is as good as Zozo’ owner John should have another winner here. Give them a call at 340 714-3354. A sample of menu items:
Mean Jean Sandwich – Mama’s Meatballs, marinara, provalone & mozzarella   on a sub roll
Wolf Sandwich – Fried rock shrimp,spicy cjun remoulade & arugula on a baguette
Crabby Pono – jumbo lump crabmeat, sprouts & spicey scallion aioli on multi grain
Crab Salad – mixed greens, jumbo lump crabmeat, roasted red peppers,artichoke hearts, pine nuts & honey herb citrus vinagrette
Garfield Lasagna – layered with 4 Italian cheeses & marinara that can be augmented with Mama’s Meatballs or Italian sausage & peppers.
