Living on St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands, we meet hundreds of visitors from all over and everyone asks the same questions – “how long have you lived here, where are you from, why did you move to St. John”, etc. People from the colder climates often ask, “don’t you miss the seasons?” Well we do have seasons in the Virgin Islands – two to be exact – Tourist Season and Hurricane Season! We are now approaching the peak of Hurricane Season.  Ana lost her mojo and never made it to hurricane status while Bill is kicking up a storm in the mid-Atlantic as it morphs into a Category 3 hurricane. Fortunately for all of us, Bill will take a turn to the northwest, missing the Virgin Islands and the eastern U.S.A. and hopefully missing Bermuda too, and then track due north up towards Nova Scotia where it will finally chill out. I am relieved that we will be spared the wrath of Hurricane Bill but now what am I going to do with all these tee shirts?!
