Atlantic Tropical Analysis

No they are not a singing group.  Ana, Bill & Claudette are the designated names of the first three storms of the 2009 Atlantic hurricane season. According to an Associated Press report, government forecasters recently said that the Atlantic hurricane season will be less active than originally predicted after the first two months of the half-year stretch passed without any named storms developing.   Remember that the peak of the season is in September.  Meanwhile, those of us here on St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands and surrounding islands of the Caribbean keep a watchful eye on the barometer (actually we watch the internet or the Weather Channel).  Hopefully this will be a light season as predicted but it pays to stay prudent and be ready just in case.  To keep tabs on the situation click the link below for one of my favorite weather sites:
